Practice Information and Experience

Admitted as a Legal Practitioner in 2010, Shikha has been practicing exclusively in the area of family law for over 10 years.

Family separation is a difficult time for all involved and can be particularly stressful for children. Shikha utilises an empathetic approach to matters and has a unique ability to recognise the diverse needs of her clients. This approach, coupled with an extensive professional network of barristers, psychologists, valuers, accountants and psychiatrists ensures value driven outcomes for our clients.

Shikha has comprehensive experience in all aspects of family law including:

  • Parenting and custody arrangements;
  • Complex financial matters involving the division of matrimonial assets and financial agreements (pre-nuptials);
  • All forms of alternate dispute resolution and litigation; and
  • Investigation of financial documents for hidden assets.


In 2019, Shikha commenced partnership with David Schetzer, Andrew Papaleo and Allison Rooney, establishing Schetzer Papaleo Luddu.

Shikha has delivered meaningful outcomes for clients from various cultural backgrounds and the LGBTIQ+ community.  She has worked on a number of matters involving parties both interstate and overseas.

A proud mother of twins and a strong advocate for working women, Shikha is also a member of the Asian Australian lawyers association, is fluent in Punjabi and has an understanding of Hindi.
